There's an article making the rounds by Kate Johnson that confirms the links between psychological trauma and physical illness. It's about time. When "anecdotal" (experiential) evidence from people who live with PTSD (and other "mental illness") is finally seen to be as verifiable and meaningful as studies and reports of hard science, we might get somewhere. To my mind, nothing trumps lived experience and our ability to articulate it for others who cannot understand it because they haven't been there. The true experts of any experience are those who have lived through it ...
I also found a blog via my Twitter page that focuses on support for people who are in intimate relation with someone who lives with PTSD. It's called Understanding PTSD. It's been composed by a person who has PTSD; the format is question-and-answer; many of the questions come from the blog's readers. Recent queries include how to help loved ones understand the experience of being triggered, how to deal with people whose behaviour is injurious to you as a survivor, and how a loved one might be of gentle help when things go from bad to worse.

Now that I have cooled to you
Let there be gold of tarnished masonry,
Temples soothed by the sun to ruin
That sleep utterly.

Nice one Jaliya! Thanks for the links. *hugs*
Thank you Jaliya. For your kindness and your encouragement. I also appreciate the continuing research and compelling links you provide. I like how you have the three places (Blogs) to set down your thoughts. This action and your words speak to me of a person with inner clarity and the deepest oldest connections to ground, an old soul. I think you help a great many people. Thank you and take care.
Kelly (HIllary was my long gone much loved cat - I am thankful for her love, I am glad for you that you have cats!)
@svasti -- (((hug))) right back atcha :-)
@Hillary -- Lovely to meet you, Kelly, and to read of your feline namesake ... I am glad that my work here is being of help ... I've come to see the blogging world as an encyclopedia of experience and such a rich source of dialogue --
Cats ... now that subject would take up a whole blog in itself ... I adore my babies and am turning into a crazy cat lady ...
